Cash Flow Analysis

For a small business the most critical item that should be at the forefront of the business owners mind is Cash Flow.  Without Cash Flow nothing can be achieved.  This encompasses an understanding of your billing and fee collection processes but also being able to look forward and plan what Cash will physically be in the business to keep it operating.  As the business owner you are often the last person who is paid.  Having a sound Cash Flow Analysis process will allow you to look forward and understand the fixed and variable costs of your business, how to minimise these costs and also understand your revenue both recurring and ad hoc.  The more accurate and complete this analysis is the more understanding you have around the future of your business and planning what to do and when.

There is no point putting in place and expansion and development plan if there is not going to be the funds to implement it.

Conversely there is no point having a cash flow rich business if you are not utilising those funds effectively to improve and enhance the business.
